Ibadan Poly to Resume for Second Semester Tomorrow, Monday 14th April 2025



The Management of The Polytechnic Ibadan have announced that students of the institution will resume for second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session tomorrow, Monday, 14th of April, 2025.

The ‘citadel of learning’ in a statement from the office of the acting Registrar, Mr Joseph Adewumi Ogunjimi, and made available to newsmen by the Institution’s public Relations Officer, Mr Soladoye Adewole disclosed that registration would commence immediately and run for two weeks, that is from monday April 14 to Sunday,  April 27, 2025.


The statement further revealed that students who failed to register within the stipulated period will have the opportunity to complete their registration during the late registration window, which will span one week from Monday,  April 28 to Friday, 2nd May 2025 with penalty attached. 

Academic activities for the semester will officially commence with lectures starting from Monday, 21st April, to Friday 18th July 2025,spanning a total of 13 weeks. 

A one week revision period will also be held from Monday, 21st July, to Friday, 25th July 2025, the statement further disclosed. 

According to the statement, the second semester examinations have been scheduled to take place over a three week period from Monday 18th August to Friday 12th September 2025 while marking and grading of examination scripts will also be conducted simultaneously during the same time frame. 


Post examination activities such as the faculties coordinating committee meetings for consideration of results have been scheduled for Monday, 15th  September while the Board of Studies (BOS) meeting will hold for two days from Wednesday  17th September to Thursday 18th September, 2025.

While advising the students to keep track of the important dates and comply with registration deadlines to ensure a smooth academic  experience,  the statement disclosed that the second semester is expected to officially come to a close on Friday 19th September 2025.
