As at today, the Nigerian Polytechnics as it where, are currently making names for themselves and are seriously closing up the big lacuna that gave existed between and our Universities. Below, i will be discussing the top best Polytechnic in Nigeria.
1. Yabatech : One of the veryu first higher institution that was established in the country. Situated in Lagos in a place called Yaba, Lagos State and are for long the best Nigerian Polytechnic a position they have for decades. This institution have been awarded the right to offer Degree certification to their students because of the high level of stsandard. 2. Nekede Poly: The school came into limelight after a much and some series of crisis with the school management. So as we have it, the Nekede Polytechnic is second best polytechnic in Nigeria and have been trailing Yabatech for sometime now. For those of us who must have visited the school, you will agree with me that they Have a very high standard of learning scale and the students of the school have been making their points in National Polytechnic competitions. With such a high standard, they have become the best Polytechnic in South Eastern Nigeria. 3. Ibadan Poly: Sometimes this higher institution of learning seated at the old Oyo empire is referred to as the old ladies. Through series of rehabilitation, the Ibadan Polytechnic have climbed through some hurdles to become one of the best Nigerian Polytechnics. This great school is soaring high just as its brother the Federal university of Ibadan that still is one of the three best university in Nigeria. 4. Auchi Poly: For this poly, i grew up to know that Auch Poly cannot do without fighting,. But today, it has been able to surpass its challenges and become of the best in Nigeria. As at the early times, this great Federal polytechnic was a fierce competitor of Yabatech but what happened to school is beyond the imagination of most Nigerians, 4th in the ranking is not a bad position but based on the standard or rather the past glory of the school, there is a general feeling that the school should be doing better. 5.Mapoly: Mapoly is the 5th ranked Polytechnic in Nigeria. this institution has done great works in some couple of years back,is trying to right the wrong people know it as, to be frank MAPOLY is working hard Academically, on buildings (Class rooms, Laboratories, Studios, workshops for the engineering students )and to minimise the rate of cultism, in which the state Governor SENATOR IBIKUNLE AMOSUN was impressed And vowed on the 14th convocation held on 10th of march 2016 to upgrade the state Polytechnic to University someday. The question is can Mapoly maintain this position? 6. Osun Poly Iree: Osun State Polytechnic Iree is the best Nigerian State Polytechnic and 6th Nigerian best Polytechnic. Thanks to good work of Osun State Government! 7. Fed Poly Ilaro: Federal Polytechnic Ilaro is the 7th Best Polytechnic in Nigeria, moving from a few steps up from the previous rankings. 8. Imo Poly: Imo State Polytechnic is the 8th best Nigerian Polytechnic and second best State Polytechnic in the South East. This poly is also Located in the same State and town with Nekedepoly but it is clear to see the deference,perhaps one is a Federal Polytechnic and the Other a State Government own Polytechnic. 9. Oko Poly: This one of the very first poly i had a good view at because my elddr sister attended the school. It was a great mind gloriouso to see its great department of Mass communication that was tagged best in Nigeria then. Oko Polytechnic have been on the rise for a long time now. You will agree with me that this P[oly which is seated at Oko town of Alex Ekwueme’s as an honor to Ekwueme for his contribution to Nigerian education. Oko Poly have been revamped and have attracted a large number of students. Oko Polytechnic as it where, have undergone some good restructuring and is currently one of the most good looking Nigerian Polytechnics. 10. kaduna Poly: As at today, the best Poly in the Northern Region is Kaduna Poly. This is to show how poor the education level of the region. Being that the best Polytechnic in the region is ranked tenth in Nigeria. 11. Laspotech : Much was not known about this institution until recently after its epic rise and a rather surprise of the current ranking, there is a good feeling they will keep it up but for how long will this be? 12. Kwara Poly : Kwara Polytechnic is ranked 12th best Polytechnic is Nigeria, the school is maintaining it’s constant position is Nigerian Polytechnic ranking. 13. Federal Poly Bida : Federal Polytechnic Bida is a clear example of law of diminishing return. My statement on this school might be harsh but it’s the truth. One of the best Polytechnics in Nigerian is now very mush down in the perking order and there is no indication of moving up in the nearest future. 14. Federal Poly Ado: Federal Polytechnic Ado is is the 14th best Polytechnic in Nigeria. 15. Federal Poly Ede: Not mush improvement from the previous ranking, the management Federal Polytechnic, Ede should fight for a way to improving the standard of the school. 16. Offa Poly: Not mush to write about the rather unknown Polytechnic, with due respect, Offa Polytechnic is rarely mention anywhere in Nigerian Education system and the ranking is here to confirm it. As I mentioned before, no disrespect intended. 17. Kogi State Polytechnic: Kogi State Education is fighting to improve to sadly, Federal Government is doing little to assist them. Here is my question – What happened to the famous Idah Polytechnic? Believe me when I said Federal Government is doing very little to assist them. Kogi itself is not now for training many students as we know most of the state citizens just don’t go to school. 17th may be poor but there is hope seeing the Epic rise of Kogi State University, Kogi State Poly might follow the part. 18. Rufust Giwa Poly: Rufus Giwa Poly is the 18th best Polytechnic in Nigeria 19. Fed Poly Nassarawa: Federal Polytechnic Nassarawa is ranked 19thin the standing. 20. Delta State Poly: Even i, do doubt this ranking putting Delta state Poly amongst the first 20. It wouldn’t make my first hundred polys in Nigeria. I wonder what the criteria for selection is.
