Kossyvibes News: PDP Reports Senator Akume, Jime to Police, Presidency

The Peoples Democratic Party in Benue State has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police over an alleged ploy by the leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, senator George Akume to cause crisis in the state during the governorship supplementary election.

In a press conference in Makurdi, the State capital on Monday, the party Chairman, Sir John Ngbede said, “We wish to bring to your attention the activities of Senator George Akume and other APC leaders in Benue State which have prompted us to write a petition to the Inspector General of Police.”
The party accused the opposition party in the state of boasting at several meetings that the result of the supplementary election would be declared in his favour.
PDP also demanded that the Presidency intervenes in the matter by calling the APC leader and the party governorship candidate, Emmanuel Jime to order.
